The border collie is often the first dog that comes to mind when you explain agility to a newbie. One of the reasons is that their only exposure to agility has come from watching shows on Animal Planet, or the Great Outdoor Games. They assume that every border collie is automatically a "champion". Little do they know that for every one dog they see (and let's face it - usually only the top 10 dogs in each class make it on TV) there are plenty of other border collies that didn't make the grade. Those of us who are owned by them know that they have the power to make us look really good at times, or can humble us when we are late with commands, or otherwise not doing our best job of handling.

I was blessed to have found my black tri border collie through Diane Conroy, who is dedicated to doing rescue work for this energetic and versatile breed. Phoenix came into my life soon after my first dog died from bone cancer. He needed a new home, and I needed another dog. He has been a wonderful companion as well as a great partner in the agility ring. He has earned his championships in both AKC and USDAA, but more importantly, has firmly implanted his love and devotion into my life. He has made friends with almost everyone he meets, and is a great ambassador for this breed.

Someday, I hope to have a red border collie. I have always been drawn to this color, and now they are far more common than they were 15 years ago when I got involved in agility. The dog used for this design is Riley, bred by Diane Conroy (who I got my rescue bc from), and owned by Kimber from south Forida.

I used a combination of two JRTs for this design.
Both Trixie and Sadie belonged to the same owner,
who had been told by her trainer if only she could combine her two dogs,
she would have the "perfect" dog.
Well, she finally got that dog with this shirt!

AGILITY Dog Weaving Logo
This was my very first design produced for the agility customer.
The generic "dawg" is often interpreted to be whatever
the customer wants it to be, but it truly was just supposed
to symbolize the idea of any dog.
The polo shirt (without pocket) has a 1.25" x 3" version of the logo on the left chest.
The Ladies style T-shirt is 100% preshrunk cotton with a jewel neckline. The Agility Logo is centered on the front chest and is 2" x 4.25".
On the T-Shirt, Long Sleeve T-Shirt and Sweat Shirt, this logo is 3.5" x 6" and is centered on the chest area of the shirt.
The "weaving" pattern is embroidered using either silver or gold metallic thread.

Labrador Retriever Sweatshirts
Although it isn’t an agility design, this embroidered head study of 3 Labs
is truly a work of art. It has over 50,000 stitches in it, and the expressions
on the dogs’ faces almost comes alive. Any Lab owner would be proud to wear
