The perfect answer for contact training
from puppy through advanced. The "A-Frame" side of the
trainer is 2' wide by 4' in length with half round 3/8" high
slats on marine plywood over an aluminum frame. The "Dogwalk"
side is 1' wide by 6' long with the same surface and frame. They
attach to a 2' by 2' mini table top with aluminum hardware and
hinge pin. The table section is supported by 2" furniture
grade PVC frame in heights adjusting in 8", 12", 16",
24", and 34" heights. At the tallest height, the angles
for the a-frame and dogwalk are approximately the same as competition
obstacles. The table portion can also be used separately for table
training. Both side sections are easily removed from the table
portion by taking out the hinge pin. No tools are required for
assembly. The sand finish is completed by 2 coats of paint.

Other contact trainers on the market do not allow for a flat
surface from which to begin training of a dog who is not familiar
with contact equipment. With OVER!ROVER Convertible Contact Trainer,
you can place a puppy or dog on the table where the dog is comfortable
and not at an angle. By placing a target at the bottom of the
trainer, the dog can be encouraged to run to the bottom from a
comfortable starting position instead of trying to balance uncomfortably
at an angle. We suggest starting puppies or beginning dogs on
the A-frame side first, until they become comfortable with their
footing on the wider side, then adding the narrower dogwalk side
as they master A-frame side. Even at full height and full speed,
the dog has a chance to adjust going from the wider side (A-frame)
to the narrower side (dogwalk) without worrying about a mis-step
at the peak.
The entire obstacle weighs approximately 50 lbs with the A-frame
and dogwalk sections weighing between 10 - 12 lbs each. The Convertible
Contact Trainer is perfect for indoor training, people with little
or no back yards or for those who don't want to invest in a full
size A-frame, dogwalk, or table.
The dogwalk section can also be attached to a mini teeter base
to use as a small teeter to introduce puppies and dogs to the
movement of a teeter at a low height (about 12").
